With years of service in numerous campaigns, Brigadier-General Crozier was already an experienced and hardened soldier when he went to France in 1914.
Throughout the Great War he showed an indomitable courage and all those other qualities which made him a fine leader of men. Before his death in 1937 he wrote a number of books, most of them based on his long career as a fighting man.
