Schools and Universities
At The Western Front Association, we believe that understanding the First World War — its causes, events, and consequences — is vital for young people and future generations. Through our education initiatives, we aim to bring history to life, deepen learning, and ensure that the stories of those who served are never forgotten.
Education at The WFA
Learning about the First World War is vital to understanding the world we live in today. At The Western Front Association, we are committed to helping schools, colleges, and universities explore the history, memory, and legacy of the Great War.
Through our work we:
- Encourage and support critical and creative engagement with the history of the Great War
- Offer grants and competitions to inspire new learning and research
- Fund opportunities for young people to learn more about the First World War.
Whether you are teaching in a classroom, studying at university, or beginning your own research journey, the WFA is here to support you.
