The First Battle of Mons - A Video Presentation

The Battle of Mons on 23 August 1914 was the first major clash between the British and German armies on the Western Front in the Great War. At this meeting, the branch will show a documentary on the battle from the excellent 'Line of Fire' series of programmes. This will be followed by a discussion led by branch chair Gerry White about the leading personalities involved in the battle and the impact it had on the course of the war.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts. Admission is free but, if possible, we would appreciate a small donation of €5.00 to help cover branch costs.
