As a result of the Second Boar War the War Office focused on ways to integrate Dominion military forces with the Army.

As we know the Great War demanded huge numbers of men, well beyond the quantity that voluntary recruiting could obtain.

This talk examines how Britain, New Zealand, Canada and Australia tackled the thorny question of compulsory military service.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
