'HMS Warspite in the Great War' - Peter Hart
14 Feb

We welcome Peter Hart back to Hornchurch for a talk on a naval theme on Wednesday 14th of February 2024. Peter will be telling the story of HMS Warspite in the First World War. Launched in 1913 and commissioned in 1915, Warspite was a thoroughly modern battleship that had a long and distinguished history, seeing service, and action, in both World Wars. She was severely damaged at the Battle of Jutland in 1916.

We meet 7:30 for an 8pm start upstairs in the Poppy Lounge of the Royal British Legion in Hornchurch. PLEASE NOTE: The map on this page is that of our Hatfield Peverel venue in northern Essex, not Hornchurch.

Parking is not available on-site but there is a 24-hour pay-and-display carpark in Fentiman Way, nearby. We request an entrance donation of £3.50.  Those who are not members of the WFA are always welcome to attend.
