We welcome our own Paul Weaver to present a talk about his connections to the Great War. Paul had several members of his family served during the war and will be telling their stories.
In addition, Paul is a key member of the 10th Essex Living History Group, a highly regarded organisation that portrays life as a "Tommy" that really focuses on education and public involvement. They regularly parade at commemorative ceremonies and historic events across the UK and on the Western Front.
This is at our Hornchurch venue, at the Royal British Legion. Parking is near the venue in Fentiman Way. NOTE: do not use the map attached to the Event page for this meeting. This map relates to our other venue.
Meet 7:30 for an 8pm start. Our requested entry donation is£3.50.
The RBL kindly allows access to their bar, and we hold a book raffle
