Forgotten Blitz and Defeat of the Zeppelins
For 20 months Zeppelin raiders roamed largely unmolested over Britain, inflicting death and destruction on cities and towns below. But in September 1916, pilots received new weapons that eventually turned the tide against the Zeppelins. This talk will include the raid on Portsmouth.
Ian is a leading expert on the history of German air raids on Britain during the Great War and author of several books on the subject. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
