Welcome to the Kent (East) branch of the Western Front Association.
Everyone is welcome to come along to our meetings. You do not have to be a WFA member.
WFA branches are self-supporting so we welcome a donation from those attending. Our main costs are speakers and the hall.
We do encourage people to join the WFA because the benefits are many and valuable to anyone interested in, studying or researching, the First World War.
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except for August - and in January 2023 there is a date change), 7.00 for 7.30 start at
The Hall at St Andrews United Reformed Church, Watling Street, Canterbury CT1 2UA
The hall has a small car park behind the building. It has a one-way system, entrance from Marlowe Avenue, exit on to Watling Street. Other car parks are nearby but charge. See https://www.canterbury.gov.uk/parking-and-roads/find-car-park/
The car park next to Canterbury East Station is the best value at £1.50, a flat rate after 6 p.m. It can be prebooked at https://www.apcoa.co.uk/parking-in/canterbury/canterbury-east-station/ so then you just drive in.
Canterbury bus station is over the road and both train stations are a reasonable walk.
Do come and find us. We will be delighted to see you.
