The War Art of Wyndham Lewis 1918-1919

Already a published author, between 1913 and 1915, Percy Wyndham Lewis developed an artistic style of geometric abstraction later described as “Vorticism”. Whilst serving in the Royal Horse Artillery, he was appointed an official War Artist for both the British and Canadian governments and his paintings during this period are the subject of this presentation.
