An analysis of the crucial decisions reached by French, British and German Generals that turned a seemingly unstoppable German advance to Paris into a full-scale retreat to the banks of the River Marne. Regarded by some as the most important land battle of the 20th Century, the people of France describe it more simply as “The Miracle of the Marne”.
