The Young Lawrence

The illegitimate son of an aristocrat and his family nanny, Thomas Edward Lawrence was a student of monuments and antiquities in England, France and Ottoman Syria before embarking on a career in archaeology. It was in Syria that Lawrence gained valuable experience in Middle Eastern leadership practices and affairs, used to great effect in the global conflict that followed.
All visitors are welcome and will receive a warm welcome from like-minded people.
