November 1918 - Where the Guns didn't stop

Speaker: Andy Stuart
Howitzer Big Bertha Western Front 1914

Today most people believe the Great War ended on 11 November 1918. Few know that for thousands of British, American and other Allied soldiers and volunteers, the fighting continued in Russia. Why were they there after the Bolshevik Revolution? How did this affect the Western Front? Who were the Czech Legion and Churchill's North Russian Relief Force? What motivated the volunteers and who emptied the Russian prisons?

Andy is an Economics graduate with a master's degree. He has been an Army Officer, an International Bank and Financial Markets Director and a Technology Entrepreneur. In 2024 he published three books inspired by WW1 and Russian Civil War tales from his Grandad.
