Riding the Rouge Zone
Tom Isitt will talk about a mad bicycle race in 1919 across the battlefields of the Western Front, and his bike trip that followed the route of the race, paying his respects to the fallen, from Ypres to the Vosges. Tom also talks about the refugees, the post-war reconstructions, and the desolate wasteland that became known as the Zone Rouge.
