After the war  films became a popular source of entertainment. Cinema audiences greatly increased. The Great War became a popular choice for filmmakers. Historian Andy Moody will explore the films made by the major studios and their efforts to faithfully and sympathetically recreate those years and the experiences of those who were there. Films such as Journeys End, The Big Parade and the first Oscar winner, Wings made in 1927. 
   

  Members and non members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new members and first time visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts. Please do come and visit us.
