Armistice Day 2024 at the Cenotaph: Photos and video

19 November 2024

On Monday 11 November 2024, The Western Front Association marked Armistice Day with a commemorative ceremony at the Cenotaph in London. This year was especially significant, as it marked the 30th anniversary of the WFA’s stewardship of this annual act of remembrance, a tradition originally begun by the Old Contemptibles’ Association in 1926.

For those unable to attend in person, the WFA ensured broader participation by streaming the event live via its YouTube channel. This allowed members from across the world to join in remembrance from their homes. The full ceremony remains available to watch online for anyone who wishes to reflect on this important day: Watch the full ceremony here.

We extend our gratitude to all who joined us, whether in person or virtually, to honour the sacrifices of those who served in the Great War.
