Is Blackadder real 'history'?.... Popular portrayals of World War I, especially those in recent dramas, often distort historical facts and create a "false memory" of the war, particularly regarding the British experience. These inaccuracies stem from a combination of factors, including dramatic license, misremembered accounts, and the influence of fictionalized narratives.

In this presentation, Prof Stephen Badsey blows away many of the myths of the First World War.
