in this short clip, Clive Harris talks about the preliminaries to the Gallipoli landings, and in particular the mobile batteries that protected the Dardanelles. It was vital for these batteries to be destroyed and a raid took place on one of these led by Eric 'Kipper' Robinson on 26 February 1915. This led to the award of a Victoria Cross for Robinson.

This clip is part of an hour long 'virtual tour' that is available for members of The Western Front Association entitled 'To bite and to hold: The Royal Naval Division at Krithia 1915'.

This Virtual Tour is available for members to watch in its entirety by logging into the members' area of the WFA's website.
