Remembering the Breaking of the Hindenburg Line 1918-2018
Dr Spencer Jones, one of the WFA's Vice-Presidents, appears on BBC Breakfast TV to explain the importance of the daring and successful attack across the Riqueval Bridge over the St. Quentin Canal on the morning of 29 September 1918.
By taking the only bridge over the canal that could support heavy traffic and breaking the Hindenburg Line the German Command were convinced that they could no longer win the war.
