Submitted by Prof Peter Doyle

In this presentation, Peter Doyle compares Gallipoli and Flanders and examines how terrain in these two locations had an impact on how the campaigns were conducted above and below ground.

Peter tells us about the various challenges that had to be overcome in order to undertake trench warfare in 1915.

This presentation aims to enable us to understand these campaigns from an entirely different view point.
