Michèl Admiraal is a retired chartered accountant (RA) living in the Netherlands. He completed his Masters degree in Military History with Distinction at the University of Wolverhampton in March 2024. The title of his dissertation was ‘Naval bombardments against the occupied Belgian coast in the First World War: A comparative study’. He is now a PhD candidate at the University of Birmingham. The subject of his thesis will be the psychological impact of tanks at the Western Front and the home front in the First World War.
As European Field Officer Michèl his also a member of both the Dutch and Belgian WFA, the Friends of the In Flanders Fields Museum (IFFM) in Ypres and of the French Association Nationale 1914-1918.
