William Coltman: Bravery under fire

Tim Coltman's great grandfather is William Coltman and he was involved in WW1 but refused to fight and kill as a result of his faith but went to war as a stretcher bearer. William Coltman is now described as the highest decorated soldier of the British Army having been awarded the Victoria cross, Military medal and bar and the Distinguished conduct medal and bar. The presentation traces William Coltman's life.

In addition to Tim's talk branch member Stuart Ainsworth will be giving a short talk entitled 'Tanks, Fast Cars and Nazis'. This talk about Stuart's Great Uncle spans pre WW1, WW1, WW2 and the inter and post war years reviewing his career as an innovative engineer, Intelligence ‘Agent’, GP Driver, Total Quality Manufacturing trail blazer, tank designer, and Monte Carlo designer.
