The Singapore Mutiny 1915

At 3 o’clock on a sweltering hot afternoon in Alexandra Barracks, Sepoy Ismail Khan, a young Rajput, left his sentry post at the quaterguard hut and moments later fired a shot.This was later taken as the signal which set the men of the Right Wing (Rajput) of the 5th Light Infantry on the road to mutiny and murder.
 This event would eventually lead to 212 men being court martialed including 2 Indian Officers and 39 of these being sentenced to death
