A Great War Cornucopia — MK WFA seminar
The Milton Keynes branch of the WFA presents a day of varied First World War talks, displays and living history.
Four talks from professional speakers: Helen Frost on convalescent care at Cottesbrooke Hall, Major Charlie Barrett on Q-Ships, Michael Hughes performing 'The Last Bantam' — his one-man play on the Bantam battalions — plus Nick Higham on 'Shooting the War: The Work of Pioneering Great War Photojournalist Ariel Varges’.
Members of the Great War Society will give short talks and demonstrations in RAMC and RFC uniform throughout the day. Static displays, a second-hand book stall (cash, please), stalls from the Royal British Legion and the CWGC, and a raffle round out the programme.
Tickets: £30 (includes buffet lunch and refreshments)
Wolverton Station is a four-minute walk from the venue, with regular buses from Central Milton Keynes. Free parking on site.
