A Great War Cornucopia — MK WFA seminar
The Milton Keynes branch of the WFA presents a day of varied First World War talks, displays and living history.
Four talks from professional speakers: Helen Frost on convalescent care at Cottesbrooke Hall, Major Charlie Barrett on Q-Ships, Michael Hughes performing 'The Last Bantam' — his one-man play on the Bantam battalions — plus a fourth talk to be confirmed.
Members of the Great War Society will give short talks and demonstrations in RAMC and RFC uniform throughout the day. Static displays, a second-hand book stall (cash, please), stalls from the Royal British Legion and the CWGC, and a raffle round out the programme.
Tickets: £30 (includes buffet lunch and refreshments)
Wolverton Station is a four-minute walk from the venue, with regular buses from Central Milton Keynes. Free parking on site.
