Captain Bairnsfather and the "Ole Bill" Cartoons

Malcolm will talk about the celebrated cartoonist Capt Bruce Bairnsfather who produced iconic images of soldiers during the during the Great War. The most famous was ‘Ole Bill’. During and after the war many of his cartoons were depicted on pottery which was extremely popular and graced many homes.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome.
