The Battle of Jutland (31 May – 1 June 1916) was the largest and only full-scale clash of dreadnought battleships during the First World War.

Fought in the North Sea off the coast of Denmark’s Jutland Peninsula, it involved roughly 250 ships and 100,000 men from the British Royal Navy's Grand Fleet and the Imperial German Navy's High Seas Fleet.
