British Forces - Italy 1917-18

We are pleased to welcome back to the branch local member Dale Hjort who will speak about how Italy's war with Austro-Hungary led to British deployment, the challenging conditions of the Alpine front, defensive action of Asiago on 15th June 1918, crossing Piave River and final victory at Battle of Vittorio Veneto, and 48th Division advance through mountains.

Meetings take place at Highworth Community Centre, The Dormers, Highworth, Wiltshire SN6 7PE. There is parking on site at the front as well as behind the building. Doors open by 13.40 and we usually have a break for refreshments part way through the talk or before Q&A. We ask for a donation of £4.00 on the door to cover room hire etc. All members and guests are most welcome.
