Three Gentlemen go to War

Speaker: Richard Lloyd
Three Gentlemen Go To War

This is the story of two brothers of the Ferrers family of Baddesley Clinton in Warwickshire, and of Eric Walker whose family later owned the house. Francis Ferrers began as a lieutenant with 253 Tunnelling Company but was killed fighting as a Lance Corporal with 6th Lancashire Fusiliers in 1918. Cecil Ferrers remained in Malaya and following the 1915 mutiny by Indian troops joined the Malay Straits Volunteers. Second Lieutenant Eric Walker KSLI was killed in action, aged 20, 29th December 1915. His story is told from letters in his 'Memorial Book'.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts.
