This talk explores the campaign for the vote during the Great War, in particular the ways in which it was the pressure to enfranchise working-class men (who could not vote pre-war) that led to changes in the franchise, with (some) women being included, it would seem, almost as an afterthought.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome.
