Ypres Day 2026

Ypres Day is a new annual event organised by the New Ypres League (NYL). This year it is combined with the rededication of the restored Hell Fire Corner demarcation stone, the first of several marker stones to be restored.

Lady Lucy French OBE, Honorary President of the NYL and an Honorary Vice-President of the WFA, will attend.

Saturday 31 October

• 2.30pm – NYL tent opens on the Grote Markt

• 4pm – Reception at the town hall (invitation only)

• 7pm – Ceremony at the Belgian Memorial, followed by a parade to the Menin Gate

• 8pm – Last Post Ceremony, Menin Gate

Sunday 1 November

• 10.30am – Morning service, St George's Memorial Church

• 1pm – Hell Fire Corner: unveiling of the restored demarcation stone and new information panel
