Jon Cooksey - fundraising page

24 June 2020

Members will be interested to hear that Heather, the widow of Jon Cooksey has set up a scheme to enable friends to remember Jon and make a practical difference to two causes that meant a lot to Jon.

This is what Heather has said about the donation page she has set up:

This is to celebrate and remember this wonderful husband, father, friend and colleague, his wife and daughter, Heather and Georgia, are asking for donations to support two charities that meant a great deal to him: the Royal British Legion and Combat Stress.

So much of Jon’s life was dedicated to keeping alive the memory of men who fought in wars around the world – making sure that some good would come out of their loss and ensuring that we would always remember them. But he was also always concerned with those who still feel the effects of war, which is why he supported these two charities.

Donations will be shared between the two in memory of Jon who, though taken from us far too soon, will always be remembered fondly and with a smile.

If anyone wishes to make any contributions, please click this link>>> In memory of Jon Cooksey.
