Our YouTube channel hits a major milestone

16 December 2025

In the last couple of weeks the WFA's YouTube channel has hit a major milestone. We now have over 25,000 subscribers!

We are delighted to have hit this number and whilst many members will already have subscribed to the channel, if you have not done so, please do - this will ensure you are notified every time we publish a new video.

Videos continue to be added to the WFA YouTube channel on a regular basis.

One of the most-watched videos on our channel is a webinar given by our new President, Dr Spencer Jones.

In this presentation, Spencer explains how the British Expeditionary Force faced disaster in August 1914. Driven from Belgium after the Battle of Mons, it found itself isolated from its French allies and closely pursued by numerically superior German forces.

At the darkest moment of the retreat General Sir Horace Smith-Dorrien made the bold decision to turn his forces and fight.
