Burial and re-dedication ceremonies in June 2025

The JCCC (otherwise known as 'The War Detectives') have announced the following ceremonies will be taking place in June of men killed in the Great War. These ceremonies are always moving events and can be attended by the general public.

Tuesday 10 June (3pm) at Loos British Cemetery Extension, there will be a burial service for Serjeant Henry Ashton of the 14th Durham Light Infantry who was killed in action on 22 April 1917. 

Wednesday 11 June (10.30am) at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium, there will be a rededication service for Company Sergeant Major Harry Lowe of the 15th Durham Light Infantry who was killed in action on 4 October 1917. 

Wednesday 11 June (3pm) at Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium there will be a rededication service for Captain Ernest Blencowe of the 6th Dorsetshire Regiment who was killed in action on 16 February 1916. 

Thursday 12 June (10.00am) at Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium there will be a burial service for three unknown soldiers of the Great War.
