First World War re-dedication ceremonies in March

The JCCC (otherwise known as 'The War Detectives') have announced the following ceremonies will be taking place in March of men killed in the Great War. These ceremonies are always moving events and can be attended by the general public.

Tuesday 17 March 2026

10.30am – A rededication service for Captain Martin Warren who was attached to 1st Battalion The Worcestershire Regiment when he was killed in action on 24 March 1918. This service will take place at Partgny British Cemetery, France.

2.30pm – A rededication service for Lance Corporal Arthur Mantle of 1/8th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters, who was killed in action on 3 October 1918. This service will take place at Joncourt East British Cemetery, France.

Wednesday 18 March 2026

12.30pm – A rededication service for Captain John Russell Pound who was attached to 2nd Battalion The King’s Shropshire Light Infantry when he was killed in action on 27 April 1915. This service will take place at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.
