This talk examines photographs taken by serving British soldiers during the First World War. Along with looking at typical themes and subjects photographed there is also a discussion around how these images reached the British press, the attitude of the military authorities to soldiers with cameras and how this amateur work sits alongside that of official photographers.

You don't have to be a Member of The Western Front Association to attend our meetings as all are equally welcome. Do come along and enjoy a friendly atmosphere and the good company of fellow enthusiasts.
