"I'm Out! Escape From POW Camps in Germany"
Speaker: Peter Hart
Peter is a regular presenter at Hornchurch, and many other branches, and this year his talk will be about one aspect of Prisoners of War based on his book written with Gary Bain, “Beggar Me! I’m A Prisoner. British POWs in Germany 1914-18” . How did escapes happen and what obstacles were in the way to defeat the desired “Home Run?”
This meeting is at The Poppy Lounge of the Royal British Legion, 205 High Street, Hornchurch, RM11 3XT, starting at 8pm. We have access to the RBL bar during our meetings.
Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts
