The War Service of Lt. Col, Ralph Peel, DSO & 2 Bars

Clive is currently editing Ralph Peel’s diary. Ralph initially served in the Yorkshire Regiment at Suvla at Gallipoli. After a brief respite in Egypt his battalion moved to the Western Front where he served in major actions of the Somme and Passchendaele, receiving wounds, and two bars to a DSO on-route. This is the story of clearly a brave officer.

This meeting is at The Village Hall, Maldon Road, Hatfield Peverel, CM3 2HP, starting at 8pm. Hot drinks and water are available.

Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Any new visitors are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from a group of like-minded enthusiasts
