Air VCs of the Great War (With a twist)

Speaker: John Gilder

The conditions for awarding of a VC include being witnessed by a senior officer, something not easily achievable in aviation and therefore frequently questioned. The talk reviews all 19 of the VC’s awarded in the Great War following events in locations ranging from the UK to Bulgaria and the talk considers how well the RFC/RAF adjusted to the requirements for the award and were they always merited?
